2017 Wedding Dress Trends from Designers We Love

So the hunt is on for the 'one' and believe me there is no shortage of beautiful and romantic princess gown options out there. Are you finding though that maybe you are not quite the princess type bride but looking for more of a way to express that inner cool girl style? Make a statement? Do something a little different or fresher? Great news! We are beyond thrilled to see the bridal industry has been branching out a bit from tradition and sending some serious bridal style down the runways. We have picked out some gowns and designers we love that are both on trend and will wow your guests with killer bride style and originality all while still making you feel like a bride.

So what are the trend reports saying will be hot in the coming seasons: Beautiful flowy tulle A line skirts, and sheath silhouettes; bell sleeves, flowy sleeves, long sleeves and thin spaghetti straps; deep plunging V neck and high neck lines; ruffles, illusion/lacey tops, off the shoulder tops & bridal pant suits.

A line skirts

One of the most flattering dresses for all body types is a gown with an A line skirt. You really can't go wrong with this look. Choose a flowy tulle skirt or dimensional floral details for an on trend look. For a more glamorous vibe choose a gown with an all over beaded design.

Sheath Silhouette

Gowns with a sheath silhouette have a more narrow fitting skirt with a little bit of leg room. This style is a perfect choice for a bride who is looking for a sleek and simple gown for their special day. The sheath skirt is best for petite women.

Flowy & Bell Sleeves

This trend is hitting hard this season. Its everywhere! And we love it. These beautiful sleeves beckon the romantic spirit. Designers are showing us how to pull off this modernized vintage look and leaving us with some serious sleeve envy.

Long Sleeves

This trend is still going strong and will likely not be going anywhere soon. More brides are opting to marry in the fall and winter months to save on venue costs and have better availability. So long sleeves are an excellent choice for these chillier months. Long sleeves can also be slimming assuming the sleeve fits the arm nicely.

Thin Spaghetti Straps

These cute little straps were super HOT in the 90's and now they are back and still as sexy as ever. If your favorite features are your neck and shoulders then you should try on a gown with simple thin straps. We are head over heels for these two designs by Sarah Seven.

Looking for something super sexy for your wedding day nuptials? Go for a wedding dress with a plunging V neck. This style has been all over the runways and red carpets. Celebrities like Kristen Bell, Emma Stone and Blake Lively have been showing off their hot little bodies in this bewitching style.

The high neck dress is a beautiful way to emphasize a tall, and slender figure. We love the diversity of options that are available for brides making it easier to pull of this cool girl style.

Ruffles

Ruffles are a detail that so many of us loved from childhood. We just adore the ultra feminine vibe that ruffles bring to the design of wedding gowns. Here are a few of our favs from recent runways.
